Alright, folks. Welcome back to The Grind, bringing you spooky strain reviews courtesy of The 420 Minute. We have a special review for you today in honor of my favorite holiday (and wedding anniversary! 8 years together and 4 married to the best man on earth and my partner-in-crime, Robaniel Von Faniel!!), we are looking at Jack-O-Lantern by New Day Cannabis.

New Day is located in Newport, WA right near the Idaho border, north of Spokane. According to their website, New Day is an organic operation using “living soil” that is pesticide free.

With a medium-denseness and vibrant pumpkin tendrils curling in and around a deep green leaf, Jack-O-Lantern was very pretty to look at. The coloring of the hairs definitely conjured up images of Halloween. This sativa had a sharp, almost tangy scent and taste. It was also extremely smooth on both the inhale and exhale.

The high was calming but with great focus, although the set-in was a bit slow. It’s a great morning weed, before work or if you have home projects and cleaning on your day off. A smiley, mellow high that will leave you with a grin as wide as that pumpkin on your porch!
